1 John

Chapter 5

1 WHOSOEVER believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone who loves him who begat him, loves him also who is begotten of him.

2 And by this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: And his commandments are not difficult.

4 For whoever is born of God triumphs over the world: and this is the victory which conquers the world, even our faith.

5 Who is he who triumphs over the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 This is he who came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit testifies that that very Spirit is the truth.

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

8 And there are three to bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three are one.

9 If we accept the testimony of men, how much greater is the testimony of God: for this is the testimony of God, which he has testified of his Son.

10 He who believes on the Son of God has this testimony in himself: he who does not believe God, has made him a liar; because he does not believe the record that God gave of his Son.

11 And this is the testimony, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He who believes on the Son has life; he who does not believe on the Son of God does not have life.

13 These things I have written to you who believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life.

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us:

15 For if we beseech him to hear us concerning the things that we ask of him, we are assured that we have already received from him those things that we desire.

16 If any man see his brother commit a sin which is not worthy of death, let him ask and Eternal Life. 1 John 5 life will be granted him, if he has not committed a sin worthy of death. There is a sin worthy of death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

17 All unrighteousness is sin: but there is a sin which is not worthy of death.

18 We know that everyone who is born of God does not sin: for he who is born of God watches himself, and the evil one does not come near him.

19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.

20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true, and we are in him who is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

21 My children, keep yourselves from idols.

4 Denn3754 alles3956, was von1537 GOtt2316 geboren ist1080, überwindet3528 die Welt2889; und2532 unser2257 Glaube4102 ist2076 der3778 Sieg3529, der die Welt2889 überwunden3528 hat.

5 Wer5101 ist2076 aber, der die Welt2889 überwindet3528 ohne1508 der da glaubet4100, daß3754 JEsus2424 Gottes2316 Sohn ist2076?

6 Dieser ist‘s2076, der3778 da kommt2064 mit1722 Wasser5204 und2532 Blut129, JEsus2424 Christus5547, nicht3756 mit1722 Wasser5204 allein3440, sondern235 mit Wasser5204 und2532 Blut129. Und2532 der Geist4151 ist‘s, der da zeuget3140, daß1223 Geist4151 Wahrheit225 ist.

7 Denn3754 drei5140 sind1526, die da zeugen3140 im1722 Himmel3772: der Vater3962, das Wort3056 und2532 der Heilige40 Geist4151; und2532 diese3778 drei5140 sind1526 eins1520.

8 Und2532 drei5140 sind1526, die da1519 zeugen3140 auf1722 Erden1093: der1520 Geist4151 und2532 das Wasser5204 und2532 das Blut129; und2532 die drei5140 sind1526 beisammen.

9 So3754 wir der Menschen444 Zeugnis3141 annehmen, so ist2076 Gottes2316 Zeugnis3141 größer3187; denn1487 Gottes2316 Zeugnis3141 ist2076 das3739, das er3778 gezeuget hat2983 von4012 seinem Sohne.

10 Wer da glaubet4100 an1722 den Sohn Gottes2316, der hat2192 solch Zeugnis3141 bei1519 sich1438. Wer GOtt2316 nicht3361 glaubet4100, der macht4160 ihn zum1519 Lügner5583; denn3754 er846 glaubet4100 nicht dem Zeugnis3141, das3739 GOtt2316 zeuget3140 von4012 seinem Sohn.

11 Und2532 das3778 ist2076 das3778 Zeugnis3141, daß3754 uns2254 GOtt2316 das846 ewige166 Leben2222 hat gegeben1325, und2532 solches Leben2222 ist2076 in1722 seinem Sohn.

12 Wer den Sohn Gottes2316 hat2192, der hat2192 das Leben2222; wer den Sohn Gottes nicht3361 hat2192, der hat2192 das Leben2222 nicht3756.

18 Wir wissen1492, daß3754, wer3956 von1537 GOtt2316 geboren ist1080, der sündiget264 nicht3756, sondern235 wer von1537 GOtt2316 geboren ist1080, der bewahret sich1438, und2532 der Arge4190 wird680 ihn846 nicht3756 antasten.

19 Wir wissen1492, daß3754 wir von1537 GOtt2316 sind2070; und2532 die ganze3650 Welt2889 liegt2749 im1722 Argen4190.

20 Wir wissen1097 aber1161, daß3754 der3778 Sohn Gottes2316 kommen2240 ist2076 und2532 hat uns2254 einen Sinn1271 gegeben1325, daß2443 wir erkennen den Wahrhaftigen228 und2532 sind2070 in1722 dem846 Wahrhaftigen228, in1722 seinem Sohn JEsu2424 Christo5547.
